About Ecocline Environmental

Ecocline Environmental was founded by Geoff Cline in spring of 2025. With over 15 years of experience in consulting and over 20 years of experience as a professional biologist/ecologist, Geoff brings a suite of skills to lead Ecocline Environmental and assist our clients. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a Master of Science degree in Wildlife Management from the University of Otago, New Zealand. He has managed hundreds of projects throughout California and assisted numerous clients with environmental planning and compliance. He is based out of his home office in Truckee, California, and has a team of biologists located in different parts of the state. Below is a list of some of our certifications and permits:

  • USFWS Federal 10(a)(1)(A) Recovery Permit for:

    • California red‐legged frog

    • California tiger salamander (includes collecting tissue samples for genetic analysis)
